Slab
A slab can need more than one reinforcement-positioning product. Bottom steel uses cover blocks, while top steel requires plastic rebar chairs. Beams and electrical conduits are calculated separately and then combined into the requirement.
Slab, beam, column, footing, wall and other RCC work do not all use the same spacer. Start with where the spacer is required, then check the concrete cover and reinforcement condition.

Beam bottom and beam sides are different conditions. Use the total beam length when available for a better quantity estimate.
Column selection changes with column size and the specified concrete cover. The calculator also accounts for repeated shuttering stages over the floor height.
Foundation calculation changes with the type of foundation. The calculator therefore asks different dimensions for standalone footing, continuous footing, raft and pile foundation.
Vertical reinforcement needs spacers on the wall faces before shuttering. Enter the wall area and choose the cover specified for the work.
Waist slab, landings and step reinforcement can have different cover and support conditions. Follow the structural drawing and ask CROSSLOCK if the support condition is unclear.
Select these narrow beam conditions from the required concrete cover and reinforcement arrangement. Ask CROSSLOCK if the detail differs from a normal beam.
Where conduits need to be supported at an intended level inside the slab, the calculator provides a practical planning estimate from slab area.
